My name is Ellie Johnson. I have a passion for live music and portrait photography. I currently work with Disrupted Magazine and have shot for other publications such as; Stage Right Secrets, Small Talks Magazine, Depth Magazine, and Poptized Magazine. I have photographed Format Festival, Country Thunder Music Festival and various other artists and musicians.

How would you describe your photography style?
I would describe my concert photo style as environmental portrait-like, with bold colors.
How did you find music photography?
I found music photography when I started going to concerts on the regular. I was intrigued to say the least. I started bringing my camera with me to any show I was able to.
Where do you see concert photography leading you?
Ideally, I would be touring all over the country taking band portraits and stage shots and documenting tour life.
What do you love about music photography?
I really enjoy the fast pace shooting. It is a thrill to predict the movement of the artists and even the lighting. Everything is constantly changing and you have to be prepared for it.
